Project / Department Description

For the construction of several prestigious new large build projects in Europe and abroad our business partner is looking for experienced construction managers.

Your Role
• You are responsible for the management, development and planning of the construction works on site;
• You install and organize the construction site (logistics, materials, people);
• You direct all aspects of the day-to-day execution of the project, and you monitor and coordinate work performed by superintendents and skilled workers;
• You lead, coach and manage several skilled and experienced site execution staff;
• You direct work sequencing to expedite project delivery and to minimize disruption of ongoing operations;
• You plan the resources;
• You implement and oversee the ISO & VCA norms;
• You select, audit and supervise subcontractors;
• You maintain regular contact with the clients or their representatives;
• You attend and lead important site meetings;
• You report directly to the Project Manager on the progress and output of your own teams and suppliers.

Your Profile
• You have a Master degree in Civil Engineering;
• You have a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in project execution and site management with focus on either large Buildings or Civil Works (all concrete works, formworks, precast, foundation);
• You have at least 8 years or more of relevant experience as a Construction Manager on building projects ( shopping malls, high rise buildings, hospitals) of €200 MIO and more; we are not looking for Infrastructure Construction Managers;
• You are fluent in English. Additional Languages (French, Dutch, Spanish, Arabic) are an asset;
• You identify with our core competencies by possessing an entrepreneurial mind, showing flexibility, being innovative and result-oriented while promoting teamwork;
• You equally possess excellent communication skills, an analytical mind and you are client focused;
• By preference you are immediately available (within 4 weeks after signing contract);
• You are willing to work on projects in Europe and abroad. We are looking for flexible candidates who are willing to work worldwide.
